Boxes with wind guards.-The drawer B of an ordinary match-box is held in an opensided slip A adapted to slide in an outer case C having a closed end and provided with bossed apertures d through which lighted matches may be passed, and with an aperture C' through which a cigar &c. to be lit is passed. Perforations c<1>, c<2> in the case are provided to allow the match to burn. The sides of the case adjacent the holes d are provided with striking- surfaces. The slip A has a hinged lid a<1> adapted to be held in the closed position by means of catches a<2>, a<3> or by means of a spring.
